Richard Baxter, 1615-1691, outside the church he served in Kidderminster from 1641 to 1660.
The local folk took over 200 years to get around to remembering their most famous resident in this way.
His better memorial is The Reformed Pastor, 1656, which tells of the knd of pastoral ministry which transformed the town.
